Stacey + Semi
LUMINARE
The day
Stacey and Semi are one of those couples that just shines with love, and brings joy and laughter to everyone around them.
They met through Stacey’s older sister Nat, who is a wedding celebrant, and officiated on the big day. They lost touch for many years and then found each other again through the serendipity of the dating app Tinder. Some relationships were just meant to be, and the universe is going to make certain of that!
This couple’s wedding had a cool urban vibe to it, with their ceremony at Butler Lane in Richmond followed by a reception at Luminare in South Melbourne, which made for some beautiful footage for us and stunning shots for their photographer, Bek Smith.
Stacey’s contemporary off-the-shoulder gown was created by Mussared Studio, and paired beautifully with her elegant ivory bouquet from Tori Allen Events (who also did the flowers for the ceremony and reception). Semi showed that modern grooms can continue to shine as brightly as their brides – we loved his velvet jacket and suit from Jack London.
Elegance and ivory touches sprinkled throughout the day, such as the table centrepieces, the favours and signage from Treasure This, and the luxurious-looking cake by Valentina Sukasman.
Music was a big part of the celebration. The guests enjoyed the acoustic talents of Jenna Huskic, and then after a ceremony and speeches filled with happy tears, they feasted, toasted and danced into the early hours to the DJ, Joey Mattei, and the band, Mijo Cica & Ines Brcic.
Thanks again for choosing us to be involved in such a special day.
