The day
This was not your typical summer’s day in the Yarra Valley, with rain and storms hovering over us for much of the afternoon. It made no difference though, as Stones of the Yarra Valley is spectacular in any weather,
Kristina and John’s was one of those weddings you knew would be amazing. The styling, florals and decor were stunning, thanks to the teams from Stasia Fox and The Small Things Co. The Chapel and the Barn at Stones of the Yarra Valley are a beautiful blank canvas on a regular day, but they looked even more breathtaking with their exquisite styling.
Kristina and the girls got ready on site at the Day Room, with makeup by Isabella Quinn and Hair by Neveen. The pièce de résistance was the custom wedding gown by Elly Sofocli, with a lace embellished veil, silk cape and hand cut French lace. John and the boys enjoyed their pre-wedding celebration at The Farmhouse at Meletos, the luxury boutique hotel of Stones of the Yarra Valley.
The marriage was solemnised by Sally Hughes, a perfect choice of celebrant. Although both Kristina and John looked stunning, it was their fur baby Jax who stole the show.
The couple were lucky to have renowned DJ Clare Elliott and vocalist Adelaide Clark on entertainment, and the dancefloor was electric. The wedding day peaked again when Kristina’s Dad surprised the couple with fireworks. Our friend Theo from Theodore & Co was the photographer, and you can see his brilliant work from the day here.
